Puppy Socialization

This class is for puppies who have received their second set of puppy shots and are less than 5 months old. Your dog’s development is extremely condensed compared to human development. For this reason, good socialization is very important. Good socialization can fend off many common unwanted behaviors and provide puppy parents with the information and practical application to build a happy, healthy, balanced relationship with your new best friend. This class focuses heavily on socialization.

Puppy Socialization: We will initiate positive interactions with other dogs, people, objects, sounds, etc. You and your puppy will learn to navigate though new settings in a positive way. You will learn what healthy play looks like and when/how to step in if necessary.

Problem Prevention: You and your puppy will learn to communicate more clearly with one another by learning to identify and understand you puppy’s body language. We will address typical puppy issues such as house training, nipping, chewing, jumping, etc.

Basic Skills: You and your puppy will work together learning basic skills that will set the groundwork for your puppy’s future learning and development to include sit, down, come and go to your crate.
